New Education Policy

Education is the hallmark of a person’s social development. It is essential for a good life which is fulfilling to us and in the formation of a just society and in the light of these principles enshrined in India’s constitution and the endeavour to provide good education to all, the new education policy was formulated this year by the Bhartiya Janta Party. This policy seeks to unleash the creative energy within every individual and to further harness and develop it. India’s ancient knowledge and heritage have been the forces behind the formulation of this policy.

This policy seeks to provide all round education and focus on the development of the marginalized sections of society so that they can shed their dark past.

The fundamental principles of this policy are as follows:

  • To harness and foster the capabilities of each student and propel them to greater lengths
  • Foundational literacy needs to be achieved by level 3
  • Learning trajectories and strategies can be chosen by students according to their calibres.
  • The culmination between Arts and Sciences so that every discipline has been given weight and the inculcating of extracurricular activities alongside academia.
  • Holistic education covering social sciences, arts and humanities for a multiscenario.
  • A three language formula to focus on languages and making them important parts of education.
  • Focusing on life skills such as communication, cooperation, teamwork and resilence.
  • Formative assessment of learning so that students tend to indulge in learning on a regular basis instead on summative assessment, before the end of session.
  • Using technology in learning to make virtual leaning.
  • Recruitment of learning and faculty becomes a continuous process.
  • Review of the progress of students made over on a regular basis.
  • Research as a prerequisite for education and development for every student
  • Creation of a vibrant educational system and participation of community and school as a whole
  • To instill a pride in our heritage and history

This policy aims to make India’s education at par with the world standards and to focus on making India a global power. It aims to make Indians respect our Fundamental Duties and directive principles enshrined in our Constitution and to make Indians conscious of their changing role in the ever transforming world. The policy aims to create a new 10+2+3 pedagogical system and a early childhood education will be created so that children between the ages of 3 to 6 will be inculcated into the system of early primary education so that, when they reach higher levels, it will become easier for them to imbibe the knowledge given to them. It will be a play based system at the early childhood level so that rote learning is discouraged and a genuine interest is fostered in learning.
