ITI 2020 will be taken care of by the Directorate of Employment, Kerala. Students can get admission through this procedure, one can take admission into the short term course in Industrial training institutes in Kerala and one can improve the prospects of employment in electrical, mechanical and other manufacturing sectors. There is no separate entrance exam for these institutes. There is only a merit list which will be released on the official Website. Prospectors should note that proceedings of admission will not take place offline. Apprentice training is also provided in this course to increase their chances of employment.

Eligibility Criteria for ITI 2020

  • Candidates need to be 8th -12th pass depending on the course/trade they have selected.
  • The candidates need to be between 14 to 40 years. There is 3 year relaxation for SC/ST/OBC; the upper age limit has been relaxed for 45 years for ex- army servicemen.
  • The age limit for differently abled candidates has been relaxed to 10 years.

Admission Notification ITI 2020-21

  • Students were notified for ITI’s admission process in May 2020 on their official Website.
  • The registration process for ITI began in the month of May 2020.
  • September 2020 is the last month, after which the application process has to finish for the registration of the admission process of ITI.
  • For seeking admission into ITI, one has to fill an application form available on DTE, Kerala.
  • One must go through the Eligibility criteria, before applying for ITI, Kerala.
  • After the application process, The DTE will create a merit list after which online counselling will open.

Application Process

  • Visit the official Website: https://det.kerala.gov.in/ and register for the application process.
  • Students need to click on the tab of ITI 2020 admissions.
  • You need to register yourself with one’s personal details such as father’s name, date of birth, Mobile number and Email id
  • Then you can login creating username and password; upload documents and your digital signature.
  • After the evaluation of the details; click submit
  • Pay using your proffered mode.
  • Your application will only be a provisional status, if the application is accepted.

Kerala ITI Merit List


The merit list will be on display on the official Website. It will depend on the qualifying exam given by students. Students should check this list on the official Website for which a direct link must be given.

Counselling Process

  • The students who are in the merit list will be called for counselling. This process will look at verification of documents. The following documents will be required by the centre:
  • Photograph of the candidate which should be in colour
  • Signature of candidate
  • Parent/Guardian signature
  • Certificates from 6th to 10th class
  • Study certificates of ITI/IVC
  • Combined marks Memo of ITI has to be given in counselling stage

Important Dates for ITI 2020

  • The application forms were available to students since June 2020.
  • The last date to apply for courses/ trades was July 2020.
