What is CMAT?

Ans- It is an online test conducted as an MBA entrance exam for students wishing to enter into 100 programmes of AICTE management. The test will convene for three hours and will be about assessing a candidate’s ability into quantitative technique, language comprehension and logical reasoning. The numbers of candidates applying to CMAT exceeds more than 70,000 candidates. This test is brought into force by the National testing authority and will be held on 24^th January, 2021. None of the test takers will be disqualified; hence it is a unique opportunity for all test takers. The test will be held at 245 locations all over India.

Eligibility Criteria

• The candidate should be a graduate from a recognised university
• The students who are appearing in the final semester of their graduation exam are also eligible
• There is no minimum percentage or cut off needed to apply for the CMAT exam

Registration of the CMAT Exam

The registration of the CMAT exam is conducted through an online process on the official Website of the NTA. The registration process will begin from November.

This is the process one needs to go through for the registration:

• Register with one’s name, date of birth, city and mobile number and your email id which is needed to login again
• Personal and academic details need to be filled in the application form and the choice of city
• One needs to upload a latest photograph and signature in requisite dimensions
• Then, you need to pay the fees through any of the payment methods; debit, credit card, online banking and mobile wallets

CMAT Fees

The fees for the categories are mentioned below:

CMAT Exam Pattern 2021

This is an online exam which is conducted for 3 hours. It is divided into four sections with each section divided into 25 questions. There will be negative marking for each wrong answer and 4 marks for each correct answer.

The four sections are as follows:

• Quantitative awareness
• Language comprehension
• Logical Reasoning
• General Awareness

How to Download Admit Card?

The CMAT admit card can be downloaded from the official Website of NTA from December 2020 and will be only in online mode and can be downloaded until the date of the exam. These are the steps to download admit card from the official Website are as follows:

• Log onto the official Website of the NTA- CMAT
• Go to the section download admit card and click on it
• You need to enter the application ID and date of birth or the password and username which is the application id
• Then click on the admit card tab to download it
• Save the admit card on desktop and take a print out

CMAT 2021 Result

The result of CMAT 2021 will be revealed in February 2021. One can download the scorecards from the official Website. These are steps to check the result of CMAT 2021:

• Log onto the NTA- CMAT official Website
• To check the scorecard click on the scorecard tab
• One needs to enter the application id, date of birth or application id and password
• Download admit card and save it on your desktop

After the release of the scorecard of CMAt,a merit list will be released with the names of the participants with their sectional and overall scores. The official Website of the NTA will also release answer keys to see how can you improve further and not make the same mistakes.

CMAT Cut-offs

The CMAT cut-offs are at the discretion of all colleges offering the programme.

Conclusion

To crack this exam, one needs to focus and study hard and brush and practise on the topics important for the exam. One needs to know the exam pattern and take up mock tests to practise more and more for this exam and also revise what you know so that you can feel confident.
